The waxes face limited regulations implemented by regulatory bodies such as the European Union and the Food and Drug Administration and are available at lower prices compared to carnauba wax. Carnauba wax can either be used in combination with shellac, beeswax, and candelilla wax to enhance the hardness or it can be entirely replaced by the aforementioned substitutes.
