The U.S. confectionery industry has been resilient throughout the pandemic. Even during the COVID-19 pandemic and the global economic crisis that ensued, the U.S. confectionery industry sales exceeded USD 36.70 billion in 2020. This growth can largely be attributed to the U.S.-based consumers re-engaging with the confectionery seasons after a tumultuous 2020 due to lockdowns.
