In August 2023, Claro Brasil, a mobile telecommunications company, launched a novel 5G fixed wireless access service named ‘Claro 5G+’ in the cities of Rio de Janeiro, Sao Paulo, Porto Alegre, Campinas, and Brasilia.
The Claro 5G+ service uses the company’s 5G frequencies in the 3.5GHz and 2.3GHz bands to provide consumers with two different monthly data allowances, namely 400 GB and 200 GB.
With the launch of this service, the company was looking forward to offering high-speed internet access to consumers in these cities. Such initiatives are expected to drive the growth of the telecom services market in Brazil over the forecast period.
