The global anti-crease agent market is expected to expand over the forecast period owing to the growing manufacturing textile industry. Increasing urbanization is further augmenting the textile industry modernization owing to which the global market is expected to witness healthy growth over the forecast period. Developing fashion trend is also an important factor expected to boost the global market growth over the projected period. Advanced machines, emerging technologies, fabric innovation and huge wrinkle-free or anti-crease fabric demand are some factors that are expected to propel the market over the forecast period.
The major process involved in manufacturing textiles is finishing. In the finishing process, woven is converted into a usable material in which performance along with its appearance is improved. Finishing includes various techniques such as bleaching and dyeing processes that are applied before knitting clothes whereas others are applied to grey clothes after knitting. Cotton fabric is the fabric which should be anticrease or wrinkle-free on account of which they use an anticrease agent in large amount as compared to any other fabric. Therefore, propelling cotton fabric consumption is expected to drive the global anti-crease agent market demand over the forecast period. The process of giving wrinkle-free or anti-crease finish is termed as resin finishing. Different resin finishing methods are used for improving drape, anticrease, water repellent, feel anti-shrinking, antisoiling, and anti-static fabric properties. Resin finishing has key objectives to strengthen the crease holding and improve dry & wet crease fabric recovery. Durable press treatment, wash & wear finishing and anticrease finishing are the major three resin finishing treatment types applied to fabrics. The only difference in wash & wear finish and anticrease finish methods are the type and crease removal level. Various resin finishing agents include acidic or alkaline catalysts, soda, softener, ash, thermoplastic resin, soap, and a solution containing thermosetting resin.
The resin finishing procedure is segmented on the basis of their carried out methods. Two methods that are widely used for resin finishing procedure are wet cross-linking and pad dry cure. In the pad dry cure method, initially, the fabric is padded with resin then dried on stenter which is further cured in polymerizer. The fabric is then washed with soda ash and soap after curing in order to remove decomposed product from the fabric. In wet cross-linking method, a chemical reaction takes place between the cross-linking agent and cellulose in acidic wet conditions. In addition, the fabric is padded with a thermosetting resin-containing solution with an acidic thermoplastic resin or highly alkaline. Fabric is batched in wet conditions once the padding process is over and under rotation, they are allowed to react for longer hours which depends upon the catalyst types. This process is followed by durable press treatment which gives high wrinkle recovery.
Asia Pacific is expected to be the fastest-growing market over the forecast period owing to emerging economies, growing urbanization, increasing disposable income, and huge demand from the cotton textile industry. India and China are the countries where huge market demand is highly expected over the forecast period on account of high cotton production, modernization in the textile industry along with rise in living standards and growing fashion industry. North America followed by Europe is expected to lift the anticrease agent market demand in the near future attributable to changing trends in the fashion industry.
Key players involved in global anti-crease agent market are SIAM Pro Dyechem Group, Sarex Chemicals, Golden Technologia, Golden Technologia, Finotex, Setas Color Centre, Prochem, Finotex, Zhuhai Lingxiang Chemical Co., Kunal organics Pvt Ltd, Star Orechem International Pvt Ltd, Neochem Technologies, Kolorjet Chemicals Pvt Ltd, Alam Chemicals and Rung International. The global market is highly fragmented in nature owing to which huge competition among regional industry participants can be expected across the globe.

Halted manufacturing activities across various end-use industries has led to weakened demand for specialty polymers. The prevailing macroenvironment due to the pandemic shall register indications of recovery depending on the course of COVID-19's prevalence and subsequent resuming of manufacturing activities. The report will account for Covid19 as a key market contributor.
