The resin finishing procedure is segmented on the basis of their carried out methods. Two methods that are widely used for resin finishing procedure are wet cross-linking and pad dry cure. In the pad dry cure method, initially, the fabric is padded with resin then dried on stenter which is further cured in polymerizer. The fabric is then washed with soda ash and soap after curing in order to remove decomposed product from the fabric. In wet cross-linking method, a chemical reaction takes place between the cross-linking agent and cellulose in acidic wet conditions. In addition, the fabric is padded with a thermosetting resin-containing solution with an acidic thermoplastic resin or highly alkaline. Fabric is batched in wet conditions once the padding process is over and under rotation, they are allowed to react for longer hours which depends upon the catalyst types. This process is followed by durable press treatment which gives high wrinkle recovery.
